Google Attempts To Deal With Sluggish Pixel 3 Complaints With Newest Update

The March security update by Google for Pixel handsets also comprises some much-required functional enhancements for the Pixel 3 XL and 3, as noted by Android Police. The firm appears to have listened to complaints from consumers about its newest handsets turning sluggish eventually—particularly the camera application. The latest update pledges to enhance general responsiveness and startup times for the camera app of Pixel 3.

The update also “enhances Pixel 3 devices’ storage performance,” indicating Google has been capable of further optimizing write and read speeds for the handset’s flash storage. Somebody posted screenshots evaluating storage performance after and before the update, and it does appear like a good enhancement.

Both of those solutions are required. Some users have turned unhappy with the inconsistent user experience of Pixel 3 several months after roll out. The media went off on the handset earlier. In a video, the media detailed some of the frustrations users faced when employing the Pixel 3.

On a related note, Google earlier claimed that it is launching out its initial monthly upgrade this year for its flagship Android handsets. The only listed modification is a fix for a bug dealing with the audio quality problem on both versions of the Pixel 3 that happens while recording video, as claimed on Reddit by users.

In the meantime, the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel C are also getting January upgrades to generally just keep up shop and patch security vulnerabilities. Users received the update on Pixel 3XL this week unit that was having some stability problems. Users downloaded the update and were greeted by a clean experience, full with the fixes for audio quality.

Particularly exempt from update for this month are Google’s older Nexus 6P and 5X handsets, which are on the verge of Google’s 3-year promise to offer device security upgrades.
